And then I found...

Five dollar bill back

I hope you're all as excited as I am about the unveiling of the new 5 dollar bill today. The main new security feature is the inclusion of an enormous purple '5', which gets significant billing on the official site. Everyone knows thieves have the most difficulty copying large sans typefaces, especially when colored.

Make sure to stock up on all the digital resources offered by the government to show your number five pride. I, for one, have already switched to this exciting new buddy icon so I can show off to all my friends:

There's also an informational video, complete with awesome music and interviews with important people. It's required viewing for anyone who doesn't want their patriotism to be called into question

Blogging, take One

There have been a few instances in my past where I've thought about starting up a blog, maybe writing about the various happenstances in my life or my opinions on relevant (or, more likely, completely irrelevant) topics, but it never seems to get much off the ground, likely because:

  • a) I've never been a particularly fascinating writer
  • 2) I'm usually terse when discussing my opinions
  • c) I'm not a terribly public person

With this attempt, however, I'll try to work around these issues by using lavish adjectives and melodrama to embellish whatever I write about, whether consequential or not. I'm hoping, more than anything, to give a forum to my thoughts and allow myself to actively track my own beliefs and opinions publicly.

Don't be disappointed if this doesn't get updated super often. As I mentioned before, I'm not too good with this sort of thing. However, I'll try to do the best I can, and I'll even see if I can't occasionally add photos and stuff too to give this blog a little bit more life. Now that daylight savings time has come, I'm hoping it'll encourage me to get out more and see things worth taking pictures of.

Thanks for visiting. We'll see where things go from here.
